Veterans & Serving Personnel

Events/Support

Oadby & Wigston Borough has a strong relationship with the Armed Forces, with South Wigston being an old barracks town of The Royal Leicestesterhire Regiment in 1688,  later becoming the Leicestershire Tigers Regiment. As a community centre in the heart of the community & for the past four years working with Oadby & Wigston Borough Council, Pilgrims Bandits Chartity and the Local Armed Forces Commitee & support from local veterans and their families, we have been able to put on free events to support veterans and armed forces serving personnel, as a way to say thank you. We also work  closely with different agencies/charties as part of a sign posting service to support as & when needed.
Below are events which are open to veterans/serving personal along with family & friends, these events are also open to general public to attend as well throughout the year
